patricia haskey

The landscapes and landmarks of the North West provide the stimulus for much of Patricia Haskey’s work. She is inspired and excited by the changing characteristics of the elements, when details of architecture, land and sky emerge as transient moments, caught in shifting patterns of light and colour.

Patricia studied fine art at the University of Central Lancashire and graduated with honours in1980.

Her work is held in the House of Lords Art Collection, London, in the Head Office of Cadbury and in private collections worldwide.

Patricia’s work is represented by galleries in the North West and shown in exhibitions across the UK, including Newcastle, Edinburgh and London.

In 2004, she was one of 12 artists chosen to represent art from the North West in an exhibition in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.

In 2014 Patricia was shortlisted for the Artists & Illustrators magazine Artist of the year competition for her painting – ‘The Chemist–Kirkby Lonsdale’. The painting was exhibited in the magazine’s exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London in January 2015.

In the summer of 2016 she held a major solo exhibition at Brantwood, Coniston – the former home of John Ruskin.
